Marie Gillain has given her support to several humanitarian projects, these include:
1996
Fondation Prince Laurent (The Prince Laurent Foundation)
On 11th May 1996, Marie Gillain read some passages over the music of Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" during a gala evening in aid of The Prince Laurent Foundation at the Cercle de Gaulois in Brussels.
1995
Le train des Mille (The train of one thousand)
The Belgian town of Namur and broadcasters RTBF organised a trip for 1000 local young people to visit the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland between 6th and 10th November 1995. They were accompanied by the last witnesses of the death camp. On 6th November, Marie Gillain and singer Julos Beaucarne gave the project a send-off from the railway station in Namur.
1993
Le sida, j'agis...(Action against AIDS)
In 1993, designer Olivier Strelli produced a T-shirt with the project logo on the front and autographs of numerous celebrities on the back. These included Marie Gillain, Johnny Halliday, Phillip Geluck, Jean-Michel Saive, Victor Lazlo, Michel Preud'homme, Vaya Con Dios and Kid Safari.
